A real museum relic…

Couldn't think of anyone else but my mentor Bill Neville while at the Allman Brothers Museum. Searched for the perfect picture! And it's from the one of the most memorable places my byline graced the pages, the award winning The George-Anne! Jan. 1971From Teresa Southern: A George Anne newspaper page I designed as a youth is displayed as a museum artifact at Allman Brothers Big House Museum in Macon.

You know you getting old when what you worked in your early days is now on display in a museum. Loved this idea that the guys in the band might have had this posted on the walls of the Big House as remnants of tape suggest.

Rock on!

Are you my type?

Until I saw this video, I thought Bo Doni was a redneck typographer.

More Font fun: Tweet from @FactHive: Students who study with text in difficult-to-read fonts like Comic Sans get better grades.

Comic Sans font a study aid? Tweets sometimes are not to be believed.

Show me the research, baby.

If difficult to read enhances learning, use ornamental Old English.

No monopoly on Monopoly…

Apparently there is an out of control population problem among aging Monopoly pieces. One game piece will be voted out and a new one selected.

Is this not equivalent to the deployment of Death Squads for table games? Which piece will be euthanized? The Thimble? The Iron? The Top Hat? I feel I was completely blindsided in this matter. I missed the memo.

I think Colonel Mustard should lure those responsible for this scheme to the library and whack the hell out of them with a lead pipe.

Dear Abby…

Don’t know how many Dear Abby songs have been written, but this little talking blues ditty by John Prine would have to be the best…

RIP Abby, dear.

I spent many years making sure your column got in the paper each day. Had I failed in this duty, your fans would have handed me my ass on a platter.
