Multimedia report covers inaugural celebration in Birmingham

UAB Kaleidoscope Photo Editor James McConatha covered the inaugural celebration ceremony at Birmingham’s Boutwell Auditorium. The slide show is featured on the newspaper’s Web site as part of an effort to expand multimedia content. The report, created with SoundSlides software, provides audio highlights of the ceremony along with James’ photos.

It was a nice, well developed local angle to the national story. The presentation was James’ first project using the software and he utilized computer audio tools to edit the sound track. He said the project took him about two hours to complete.
